Karl Altstaetter
Karl has worked in the comic industry for the last ten years as
an illustrator and inker for Marvel, DC, and Image Comics. He got
his start as an assistant on such books as X-MEN and UNCANNY X-MEN.
Later, he worked as a designer for several video games, motion pictures,
and theme park productions including various projects for DISNEY
IMAGINEERING. In 1997, Karl formed his own company, HYPERWERKS COMICS,
and has illustrated ,co-created and co-written the company's first
publication DEITY. Since its inception Hyperwerks has launched several
new series including: CATSEYE, a DEITY spin-off, and the upcoming
SAINT ANGEL.
Robert Napton
Robert began his career producing and writing English adaptations
of anime projects for release in the United States through such
companies as MANGA ENTERTAINMENT and NIPPAN. In 1994, Robert became
a writer at Image Comics on such titles as AVENGELYNE, PROPHET,
and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. In 1997, Robert joined Karl Altstaetter
to co-create and co-write DEITY as well as the new series SAINT
ANGEL.
Katty Douraghy
Katty is a new recruit to the world of comics having
joined Hyperwerks in Jan of 1999. Prior to Hyperwerks, she was a
senior manager at a large department store for several years, so
she brings with her strong customer service and retail skills. She
not only handles all the day to day management of Hyperwerks, but
she takes care of the website and handles all of our mail order
requests as well.
Victor Olazaba
Victor has been with Hyperwerks since the beginning and
has inked every Deity and Catseye issue with the exception of Deity
#1. His attention to detail and talent for enhancing any art piece
have made him a fan favorite. In addition to inking, Victor enjoys
drawing and prior to joining Hyperwerks he was illustrating textbook
artwork.
Brian Buccellato
Brian has been with Hyperwerks since its inception and has been
responsible for creating the great colors that have given our books
their unique look. In addition to coloring Brian's greatly enjoys
writing, producing, acting and basketball.
Jose Campos
Jose joined our team as a summer intern from OTIS College of Art
Design here in LA and has been with Hyperwerks for only 6 months.
He has a background in graphic design and has aspirations of writing
and penciling his own comic book series "Hopps". Jose showed off
his talents early on when color artist Brian Buccellato showed him
the finer points of coloring comic books. Jose has assisted in coloring
portions of the Deity Revelations series and has taken on more responsibility
with each new issue.
